Why VMI
Tell us what draws you to VMI’s unique educational system and how you believe it will support your academic, personal, and leadership goals. Consider including what aspects of VMI’s structure, values, or opportunities appeal to you most, and how you see yourself growing as a result of your experience here.
VMI strongly encourages it.
How to approach it
- Name things you could only find at this college: a class, a professor, a program, a tradition.
- Tie every detail to something true about you.
- Swap test: if another college’s name fits your sentence, it’s too general.
