I almost failed 9th grade.

Origin Story

My family moved to the U.S. and I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know what an AP class was worth, what colleges actually cared about, or how any of it was supposed to add up to something. I almost failed my freshman year finding that out the hard way.

What actually changed wasn’t some burst of motivation. It was realizing, slowly and kind of by accident, that the whole system runs on information nobody just hands you. Once I actually knew the rules, things started moving fast.

The actual path.

9th grade

Almost failed

I didn't have a plan. Nobody in my family had been through American college admissions before, and I had no clue the whole thing runs on information nobody just hands you.

10th and 11th grade

Figured out the system

Learned that rigor gets judged against your own school, that testing has a real timeline, and that going deep on a couple things beats padding a list. Got most of it wrong before I got it right.

11th grade

Governor's Honors Program

Got picked as one of 14 students in the whole state for my subject. First time I actually saw the work pay off in something real.

12th grade

Taught through Microsoft TEALS

Taught computer science at a local high school. Watched the class average go from 40 to 70 over the year.

Now

Georgia Institute of Technology, class of 2028

Studying computer science. Honestly still the same kid who almost failed 9th grade, just a few years further along.

Building Clarity Prep

Started because I kept getting the same questions in my DMs, every single day. Eventually realized the real problem was never really about college. It’s that most students never get help figuring out what they actually want.

Clarity Prep exists because I don’t think you should have to wait until you’re filling out a college application to start figuring out your own direction. This isn’t a consulting service. It’s the starting point I wish I had, built by someone who had to piece his own together from scratch.
