What you write: One faith statement, 100 words or less.
Vanguard is a Christian university and asks applicants about their faith.
Your faith background
In no more than 100 words, tell us more about your faith background. How did you come to follow Christ? What does your faith mean to you personally? How do you plan to follow Christ as a college student?
How to approach it
- Pick one moment and stay there. Readers remember a scene, not a summary.
- Spend at least a third of the essay on what you thought and how you changed.
- Read it out loud. If a line doesn’t sound like you, it isn’t done yet.
