Supplemental essays · 2026–27 application
University of Stirling supplemental essays.
The essay question University of Stirling asks this year, word for word, with the word limit and how to approach it.
Checked against stir.ac.uk and the Common App application on October 17, 2026
What you write: One statement, 500–700 words.
UK personal statements focus on your course and why you are suited to it, not a personal story like the US college essay.
Your suitability for the course
Outline your suitability for the course(s) that you hope to study. You need to demonstrate your enthusiasm and commitment, and above all, ensure that you stand out from the crowd.
How to approach it
- Start with the moment the interest began.
- Show what you’ve already done about it: a class, a project, a book, a job.
- Say where you want to take it, even if you’re not sure yet.
