Checked against seu.edu and the Common App application on October 17, 2026
What you write: One essay, 400–800 words.
Southeastern is a Christian university and asks about your faith.
Your faith and fit
400–800 words
In 400 to 800 words describe how you came to know Christ, how your relationship has developed over time, and how you feel like you would be a great fit for Southeastern, academically, spiritually, and professionally.
How to approach it
- Pick one moment and stay there. Readers remember a scene, not a summary.
- Spend at least a third of the essay on what you thought and how you changed.
- Read it out loud. If a line doesn’t sound like you, it isn’t done yet.
