Supplemental essays · 2026–27 application
Cairn University supplemental essays.
The essay question Cairn University asks this year, word for word, with the word limit and how to approach it.
Checked against cairn.edu and the Common App application on October 17, 2026
What you write: One essay, 500–800 words.
Cairn is a Christian university and asks for your testimony.
Your testimony
Please share your testimony of trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior, and how that has impacted your life and made you excited to study at a place like Cairn University.
Cairn says the essay should show your beliefs and your ability to write clearly at a college level.
How to approach it
- Pick one moment and stay there. Readers remember a scene, not a summary.
- Spend at least a third of the essay on what you thought and how you changed.
- Read it out loud. If a line doesn’t sound like you, it isn’t done yet.
