What you write: One personal statement, up to 500 words.
AUC checks personal statements for plagiarism; it must be your original work.
Why AUC and the change you will bring
Explain the drivers behind your interest in applying to AUC. Your personal statement should focus on how you expect such an opportunity to impact you and allow you to bring positive change to your community.
How to approach it
- Name things you could only find at this college: a class, a professor, a program, a tradition.
- Tie every detail to something true about you.
- Swap test: if another college’s name fits your sentence, it’s too general.
